There is a charity bazaar today in the center of Gorna Oryahovitsa. The reason for the event is the 20th anniversary of the regional structure of the Bulgarian Association of Cancer Patients in the railway town, reported a correspondent of “Focus”. The ladies of the association are in front of one of the pastry shops in the square, where they offer sweets, gifts, paintings and souvenirs, as well as other surprises. There are three causes that will be supported with the money collected. Part of the amount will be donated to cancer patients who are currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy, another part will go to an unemployed student, whom the ladies of BAO often help, and a third – for preventive trainings for young people about a healthy lifestyle.

The bazaar will remain in the center of Gorna Oryahovitsa until 14:00.

The Bulgarian Association of Cancer Patients was established 20 years ago. During this time, the ladies who are members of it have distributed over 15,000 BGN, collected only through donations. In addition, they organized a number of trainings in various schools in the railway town, provided psychological support to dozens of people in need. They help both patients and their families and relatives. Men are also members of the association.
