In Veliko Tarnovo, Krasimir sells lamb directly from his farm. He warns that quality meat – native production – is in short supply on the market.
“There are 300,000 sheep and goats registered in the BABH system, so even if they take out one lamb, they will not be enough for the domestic market. There will be imports, but they must be regulated – with labels, with everything. Bulgarian is better quality. And if people choose it, it will be fresh, slaughtered two days ago,” he is categorical.

“The lamb must be stamped, it carries a guarantee that the meat at the time of harvest has been examined by an official veterinarian, this guarantees safety.
