The oldest resident of Botevgrad Municipality – Stefka Miceva, turns 102 today. She was born way back in 1922. Grandma Stefka is also the oldest resident of the “Dr. Adrian Atanasov” Home for the Elderly.

On the occasion of her birthday, she received a congratulatory address, an icon and good wishes from the mayor, Ivan Gavalyugov. The Secretary of the Municipality, Stefka Gramatikova, also congratulated the birthday girl.

The team and residents of the Home presented a cake to the long-lived woman.

Stefka Miceva comes from an old Botevgrad family – Stambolievia. Her husband died a long time ago. She chose to live in the Home for the Elderly because, as she herself claims, she finds solitude and peace in its environment. But on holidays he is always with his relatives. In fact, she was the first resident of the “Dr. Adrian Atanasov” Nursing Home.

Tonight, she gathers relatives and friends in one of the large restaurants in Botevgrad to treat her to health and longevity.

According to data from the municipal administration, as of January 2, 2024, three more residents of the municipality have turned 100 years old. These are: Vasila Petkova, who lives in Botevgrad, Pena Bencheva – a resident of Novachene, and Doika Peeva from Litakovo, who currently lives in Mezdra. All three women were born in 1923.
