Pro-Palestinian protests at universities were a leading topic in the United States this week, Mladen Petkov reported from Washington.

There were protests in educational institutions in cities such as Boston, New York, Austin (Texas), Los Angeles, the capital Washington. In places, the police arrested demonstrators. Graduation ceremonies have also been cancelled.

There are calls from the Capitol for the resignations of university presidents accused of not doing enough to keep Jewish students safe.

Eyes were also on a courtroom in New York, where essentially started the trial of former President Donald Trump on allegations that he paid money to buy silence during the 2016 presidential campaign, which he won. Trump is the first former president in American history to face criminal prosecution. He is accused in 4 cases and in all four he denies that he is guilty.

Trump was also the subject of a Supreme Court hearing on whether he could be indicted on charges that he tried to sway the 2020 election.

Among the highlights were comments after the adoption of a law to ban the TikTok application in the country.
