Bloomberg: Trump advisers consider measures against countries that want to abandon the dollar – Security in the news

--

STrump’s advisers are considering measures against countries that want to abandon the dollar. Advisers to former US President Donald Trump, who is running again for the highest government post, are discussing ways to counter countries’ refusal to use the US dollar in foreign trade. This was reported by Bloomberg on Thursday, citing sources.

Options include economic advisors who consider export controls, fines, currency manipulation fees and tariffs.

According to agency sources, these measures will be directed against developing countries, including the BRICS countries, to “reduce risks to the US currency”.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the West is increasingly concerned about the work of the BRICS countries to develop their independent financial mechanisms. He pointed out that the West had begun to “shamelessly abuse” international mechanisms, using them to suppress competitors and punish dissenters.

The US presidential election will be held on November 5. Trump has already received the number of delegates needed to win the Republican Party’s nomination for president.

Donald John Trump (English: Donald John Trump), often spelled as DJT (DJT), is an American business magnate, billionaire, author and media personality, the forty-fifth president of the United States. He was born on June 14, 1946 in Queens, New York.

Trump is president and CEO of the Trump Organization; founder of “Trump Entertainment Resorts” – an organization that manages numerous casinos and hotels around the world. His extravagant lifestyle and manners have established him as a celebrity, a status enhanced by the success of his reality show The Apprentice, where he hosted 14 seasons (2004-2015).

Since the 1988 presidential election, he has been seen as a potential presidential candidate in almost every election. In October 1999, he announced his intention to run in the presidential elections as a candidate from the Reform Party, but on February 14, 2000, he withdrew his candidacy.
