The head coach of Pirin Oleksandr Babic shared his opinion after the 1:2 loss to Botev Vratsa at the start of the efbet Liga playoffs.

“We talked with the players that we need to take the game more forward. The championship continues, four more matches await us. In these matches we have to perform at a level, analyze what we did today. Maybe today the draw was more suitable as a final result, but we have to put up with it,” Babic began.
“We didn’t take our chances on the counter-attacks. We lost the game and we have to draw the necessary conclusions from this match and correct the mistakes. Maybe at one point we should have tried more crosses from the wing.”
“All the teams we will meet are part of this fight for survival and here the points are very important. We are disappointed with this loss. But now we have two weeks to prepare in the best way. We have some problems with injured players. This a break comes at the right time,” Pirin’s coach admitted.
“I haven’t spoken to the management about this topic specifically. We are okay at the moment, we have secured a budget to finish the season with. Then we will think about the budget for the next one. Our aim at the moment is to save ourselves,” he said of the news about new owners of the Eagles.
