BNT and bTV are fighting for Nikolaos Tsitiridis

BTV rehabilitated the host of its evening show, Nikolaos Tsitiridis, who was fired half a year ago. He returned to television, but not as an employee, but as a guest on the program “Before noon”. It is said that the Greek is also expecting an offer to work on screen very soon.

Tsitiridis was among the front-runners to host several bTV formats this spring, but was consistently edged out in the finals by candidates who management felt were better suited for the job, The Weekend has learned. The fact that they are already inviting him back on TV, albeit only as a guest, is a sure sign that he will be back on screen soon. There are rumors in bTV that his name is being discussed for projects that start in the fall. Until then, in addition to fitness, Nikolaos was busy with his comedy programs, with which he earned his living even before he became a TV presenter. He gathers a lot of fans in the comedy bars and has also recovered his musical performances as a drummer. He has his own group – “Dodo Band”, with which he will tour in the summer. Dodo is the name by which the Greek’s relatives have been calling him since time immemorial. From autumn, we are expected to see him back on the small screen.

A few weeks before they invited Nikolaos, the woman next to him – the actress Boryana Bratoeva – was called as a weekly commentator in “Predi Obed”. Probably in order to prepare the ground for his return, presenters Desi Stoyanova and Petar Dochev asked her every day what their former colleague, who is officially unemployed, was doing.

For his guest appearance, they gathered part of his band from the evening show, including the singer Jacqueline Tarakchi, who is the winner of the “Voice of Bulgaria” TV show. Apparently, BBC wants “The Nikolaos Tsitiridis Show” not to be forgotten, but will they bring it back to the screen? This is still not clear. It is certain that the presenter, as well as the persons from his removed production, are no longer persona non grata in the media group, which is a sure sign of a comeback.

The rehabilitation of the Greek took place after he was invited as a guest first in the evening show of the Bulgarian National Television, which is broadcast every Thursday. Tsitiridis was his current host Andrea Banda Banda’s first guest. Rumor has it that Emil Koshlukov thinks the young man has potential and is considering hiring him. His former employers must have been afraid that they might invite him to work elsewhere, and they also took action. But no TV station has officially announced that they have signed a contract with him yet.
