Movies on TV: What to watch from April 22 to 28

The small screens will heat up this week in return for the cold temperatures outside that will send April off.

The heat on TV comes from the flurry of high-adrenaline action that fills the TV channels in the days leading up to the big Easter break. There are classics in the speed genre and new productions that have attracted solid audiences over the past few years.

What we have chosen for you from the TV program, see below:

Monday, April 22

8:00 p.m. – “Fast and furious 7” (2015) on bTV – In the seventh installment of the action franchise, Dominic Toretto and his family prepare to settle down after dealing with their worst enemy, Owen Shaw. Their bliss doesn’t last long, however, as Owen has a brother who learns of his murder and is hot on Dom’s heels for revenge.

Tuesday, April 23

3:20 p.m. – “The Peacemaker” (1997) on Kino Nova – two trains collide somewhere in Russia, and one of them is loaded with atomic weapons. The disaster causes a powerful nuclear explosion that stuns the whole world.

However, White House nuclear expert Dr. Julia Kelly is convinced that the train collision was no accident. With the help of an intelligence colonel, she sets out to investigate the accident, believing it to be a harbinger of another world war.

10:00 p.m.- “Warcraft: The Beginning” (2016) on bTV Action – The adventure epic inspired by the popular video game series unfolds the clash between orcs and humans, paying attention to each side.

War breaks out in the peaceful realm of Azeroth when fearsome orcs invade its territory. The dangerous warriors want to leave their dying home and colonize another – that of humans.

Wednesday, April 24

9:00 p.m. – “Top Gun” (1986) on Kino Nova – the movie classic with Tom Cruise tells about the young and rather violent pilot Pete Mitchell – Maverick, who enters the elite school of the US Air Force, bearing the short name “Top Gun”.

Maverick is known for the quality of always going by instinct rather than reason, which causes him problems – both on the track and in making friends with the other boys on the course.

Thursday, April 25

4:00 p.m. – “Ghostbusters” (1984) on Kino Nova – the 80s comedy icon sends us to the infamous group of scientists from Columbia University who have come up with their own unusual way to deal with cheeky poltergeists. The company is so pleased with their work that they start offering their service en masse.

As they deal with everyday paranormal occurrences, however, a huge threat looms over their city.

9:00 p.m. – “Allies” (2016) on Kino Nova – the romance with Marion Cotillard and Brad Pitt intertwines the fates of spies who meet in Casablanca during the Second World War and together lead an action against the Nazis.

Years after their brief affair, Max Vatan (Pitt) and Marianne Bessejou (Cotillard) meet again in London and rekindle old feelings for each other, but enemies left over from their previous professions prevent them from building a family nest.

10:00 p.m. – “This wild Wild West” (1999) on bTV Action – the comedy with Will Smith introduces us to a hellish plan to remove the American president in the mid-19th century. Two rivals join forces to thwart the evil Dr. Arliss Loveless’ plot, and the challenge is to iron out their differences while trying to prevent the assassination.


Friday, April 26

3:45 p.m. – “Adolescence” (2014) on bTV Cinema – Mason is only 7 years old when he learns that his parents are divorcing and as you might expect – he takes the news extremely hard. The divorce becomes a starting point for the boy, and over time we see how the conflict between his parents affects his growth.

Saturday, April 27

12:30 p.m. – “Goodbye Christopher Robin” (2017) on Nova – the film depicts the relationship of writer Alan Milne with his son Christopher Robin, whose toys inspired the Winnie the Pooh novels. The celebrated author’s family is introduced in the years since his children’s books achieved international success, and the stories in Milne’s home are told through the eyes of the young Christopher Robin.

11:10 p.m. – “Godzilla vs. Kong” (2021) on bTV – the two mythical creatures face each other in a spectacular battle where the fate of the entire world is at stake. Kong and his protectors embark on an epic journey to find his true home, but unexpectedly cross paths with the furious Godzilla, who is on a mission to destroy the globe.

Sunday, April 28

9:00 p.m.- “Mega Beast” (2018) on bTV – A submarine, part of an international program to monitor the underwater world, is attacked by a huge beast that scientists thought was an extinct species. The crew of the vessel is stuck in the depths of the Pacific Ocean and awaits rescue, and the only one who decides to approach the giant sea monster is a professional diver.

10:00 p.m. – “John Wick 3” (2019) on Nova – Keanu Reeves’ character finds himself in trouble again after an organization of assassins excommunicates him and puts a bounty on his head. John Wick is forced to leave New York, meanwhile looking for an arbiter to help him reconcile with an organization.
