Atanas Penev – Nasko in the last tenth live of “Like two drops of water” did an exceptional imitation of the Italian star Al Bano Carizzi and won the applause of the audience, jury and his colleagues. The vocals of B.T.R. is a guest in the studio of “Hello, Bulgaria”, where he talks about how he copes with the transformations (Nikolina Chakardakova, Veselin Marinov, Doni, Madonna, Al Bano and Luciano Pavarotti) and whether it is difficult for him to enter the female images that he liked from the Lucky Button. The participant admits that during the last text of “Felicita” he had to look at the autocue because it goes like a fast recitative. But still he thinks it is very beautiful in meaning. It hasn’t been easy for him, but his greatest pleasure is having Al Bano himself join him on stage.
“It was great to sing with me on stage. It wasn’t scripted, but we hoped it would happen. It was a great experience. Al Bano has an incredibly beautiful voice at 81 years old and this guy sings amazingly. After the show, I thanked him again for being on stage together. I wished I could sing as well at his age. He told me it wasn’t that hard, but I had to practice. I mustn’t stop singing. A great singer and a very good person,” Nasko shared his emotions.

According to the performer, in Bulgaria we also love our doyens, in any field of music. This year Kiril Marichkov is celebrating his 80th anniversary with numerous concerts with the Foundation. His opinion is that people respect their stars, but maybe the state not enough.
On the difference between the rock scene and the “Like Two Drops of Water” scene
“What I have to do in The Drops is very different from anything I’ve ever done in my life. The challenges are many. Something that I have been building for 40 years in B.T.R. – to create my own handwriting, aperture, voice and way of singing, now I have to escape from everything. Even gestures, gait, voice… With the image of Madonna, I had to dance with professional dancers for the first time. I had a hard time getting into the image of Luciano Pavarotti, which is an unattainable peak for me. I also had a hard time with Maria Sherifovich’s song in terms of singing. Thanks to Nikolina Chakardakova, who helped me with the clothes and the song. I am glad that I had such challenges, because a person of my age or Panayot Panayotov’s age needs such. The responsibility is great with every image,” says the rock singer.

“I try to do my best. But the important thing is to get the most out of each image together with the team. I have Yordanka Hristova due on Monday and we are already counting breaths, where and when they should be taken. She is a grandmother in Bulgarian music and I have to take out her gestures.
