Assault groups of the Russian armed forces have taken full control of Ocheretino railway station, advancing along Zheleznodorozhnaya Street 1.2 kilometers to the northwest. Russian troops are also establishing positions on the streets south of the railway station, it says “Fisherman”.

As noted by the Telegram channel, footage published online shows the operation of an M2A2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle of the 47th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at positions of the Russian armed forces in houses outside the village. According to the brigade commander, they were urgently transferred as a “fire brigade” to plug a gap in the defense after the escape of separate Ukrainian units from Ocheretino.

At the moment, there is no information about control over the northern part of the village behind the railway station. In the vicinity, there are several larger buildings that the VSU can rely on for the defense of the area: the territory of the brick factory “Altcom”, a school and a local waterworks.

As noted by the Telegram channel, “the situation is developing dynamically, and it is possible that the armed forces of Ukraine will not have enough forces to hold back the advance of Russian troops. If the Ukrainian Armed Forces lose control over the populated area, then the fall of Novobakhmutovka and Novokalinovo will only be a matter of time’.
