Satellite images show extensive damage in Iran after the attack

--

Satellite images taken on Monday showed that the Israeli retaliatory strike targeting Iran’s central city of Isfahan, hit a radar system for a Russian-made air defense battery. This contradicts the repeated denials by officials in Tehran of any damage from the attack, AP reports.

A strike on the radar would have done far more damage than the massive drone and missile attack Iran launched against Israel on April 13. This is perhaps the reason why Iran officials to the supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei are trying to avoid discussing what actually caused the attack on Iranian soil.

We remind you that on Sunday, the foreign minister of Iran has refused to admit that Israel was behind the latest attack against his country and described the weapons used as more like children’s toys.

Iran mocked Israel’s weapons – they were children’s toys

Tehran does not plan a response unless Israel launches a significant attack

“What happened was not a strike, Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdolakhian emphasized. These were more like toys that our children play with – not drones.”

He said Iran was not planning a response. unless Israel launches a significant attack.

“As long as there is no new adventurism on the part of Israel against our interests, then we will not have a new reaction,” assured the minister.

However, he warned that if Israel did attack Iran, the response will be swift and brutal.

“If Israel takes decisive action against my country and this is proven, our response will be immediate and strong and will make them regret it,” Amirabdolakhian threatened.

Iran and Israel – they ate no onions, they smelled no onions

The most serious element of Israel’s response is that Tel Aviv has demonstrated that it can strike Iran from Iran. But this, as mentioned, is also not new

The tension between Israel and Iran escalated on April 1 when Tel Aviv struck the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital of Damascus, killing two generals and five officers of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

Tehran retaliated 12 days later, by launching an unprecedented direct military attack against Israel with over 300 missiles and drones. However, the attack did not cause significant damage. Almost all of the missiles and drones were intercepted by Israeli, American and other allied forces.

However, Israel retaliated on Thursday night by striking military airfield near the city of Isfahan in central Iran. According to Iranian state media, nuclear facilities in the area were not damaged and no casualties were reported.
