Satellite images taken on Monday showed that the Israeli retaliatory strike targeting Iran’s central city of Isfahan, hit a radar system for a Russian-made air defense battery. This contradicts the repeated denials by officials in Tehran of any damage from the attack, AP reports.
A strike on the radar would have done far more damage than the massive drone and missile attack Iran launched against Israel on April 13. This is perhaps the reason why Iran officials to the supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei are trying to avoid discussing what actually caused the attack on Iranian soil.
