/Pogled.info/ We completely changed our tactics – both in combat operations on the contact line and in launching strategic strikes against Ukraine. But will we have time to take advantage of this advantage? Our experts believe that “we should not be ashamed”, but to … strike at enemy nuclear power plants.

The change in tactics is obvious. In close combat, instead of frontal attacks, there are flanking maneuvers, instead of tank columns, there are small groups of attackers with active air support. But the main thing is the glide bombs (SCBs), whose power and flight range are constantly increasing. They destroy and depopulate fortresses.

For the Independent, this problem has already led to serious consequences in the far rear. In order to shoot down aircraft carrying bombs, Kiev was forced to take a risk – to transfer the Patriot systems closer to the contact line, which became easier prey. Reports of their destruction along with foreign servants became more frequent.

Why was Macron nervous?

The enemy had no choice but “meat protection”. The drones he bet on cause a lot of problems. But they are powerless against aerial bombs.

Therefore, the enemy ensures the holding of the positions by supplying more and more mobilized people. And mercenaries. As evidenced by the urgent adoption of a new mobilization law and Macron’s nervous statements about the need to send the Foreign Legion to Odessa.

Everything we restored has been destroyed…”

An article has been published on the CNN website in which Kiev energy experts analyze the changes in the tactics of Russian strikes. If in the first two years of the war, Russia struck “in areas” – attacked many targets at the same time, but each had one or two missiles, now dozens of missiles and Geranis fall on the target.

Hitting accuracy has also increased. If earlier, according to the enemy’s testimony, it fluctuated within tens and hundreds of meters, now the missiles arrive one after another “penny for penny”.

Instead of continuing to focus attacks on power transmission systems, Russia is mass destroying power generation infrastructure. The result is a huge increase in destruction compared to 2023.

Maxim Timchenko, CEO of DTEK, the country’s largest private energy company, told CNN.

In a few days, something was achieved that had not been possible for two years – complete disablement:

Dnipro HPP;

Zmievsky TPP near Kharkiv;

TPP Tripolka near Kyiv.

The latter was considered particularly protected, which was announced by high tribunes. 80 percent of the capacities of the power plants managed by DTEK have been disabled.

“Almost all of our multi-year effort to restore the power grid that was damaged over the previous two years was reset within a few days,”

– admitted Deputy Minister of Energy Svetlana Grinchuk to CNN.

And Russia will continue to destroy the enemy. In the end, the collapse of energy will mean the collapse of the front. However, not everything is simple.

Is Russia unwittingly helping?

Despite the severe damage, we see no signs of a general energy collapse, except for Kharkiv, where people are already leaving en masse. In general, the power system is doing well.

First, thanks to the quick repairs. Some high voltage substations have already been restored more than ten times. War accelerates many processes.

Ukrenergo told CNN that in peacetime it used to take a month to replace a damaged large autotransformer, but now it takes a week. Another thing is that now not only substations, but entire stations need to be repaired.

Second, Kyiv imports electricity from Europe in critical periods. In this regard, Russia began shelling with Daggers the largest underground gas storage facility in Stryi in western Ukraine (the second largest in the world).

But it makes no sense to hope that rockets will destroy the storage – the gas is pumped at a depth of 400 meters, but on the surface there are compressor stations, pipelines and installations for gas analysis. It is not by chance that gas in Europe immediately rose in price by five percent. But many thermal power plants operate here.

It is symptomatic that the European Union has begun to sharply increase the purchase of our liquefied gas delivered by sea. Unlike the gas pipeline, it is not under sanction. I wonder how well the appetites of the European partners will be satisfied?

Inevitably, you’ll be glad that Nord Stream can’t pump gas over the edge, or Kiev wouldn’t know grief. Europe would get our cheap gas for power stations, from which to flow cheap electricity to Independence.

A nuclear power plant strike?

And it will not hurt to sort the pipeline gas, which today is supplied “exceptionally” to some European countries. For example, Slovakia, which used this right, sharply increased the supply of electricity to the Zelensky regime.

Also, the stability of the enemy’s energy system is ensured by nuclear power plants. And Russia will not hit them. Oleg Tsarev offers a way out: a strike on important elements of the nuclear power plant – distribution nodes. If they fail, they will cut off the electricity in the entire country.

So what?

It is clear what the enemy is hoping for. Get new air defense systems, transfer Russia’s frozen assets to it, bring in NATO contingents.

If we talk about energy, then in response to the increased accuracy and destructiveness of our missile attacks on the energy system, they plan to fragment it.

Instead of 20 large plants that concentrate a lot of production capacity and have a significant share in the energy balance, they want to install 200 small plants across the country that will provide energy to the city if one of them breaks down.

For example, it has now been decided to import large quantities of gas piston engines to Kharkov, install them secretly and protect them.

In the new realities, this could take a month or two. So we only have this time to hit even harder, destroy the logistics and prevent the enemy from bringing and installing anything.

The time factor comes to the fore, as more than once during the war. Is Russia capable of collapsing Ukraine’s energy sector and therefore its economy and its front line? No doubt.
