In December 2022, the Main Prosecutor’s Office in Pristina charged seven adults as suspects in the rape of the 11-year-old girl.
The victim’s lawyer, Kimete Krasnichi stated that one of the defendants was sentenced to 12 years in prison, five others to ten years in prison, and the seventh defendant was released due to lack of evidence.
According to Krasnichi, the 11-year-old girl is currently placed in a shelter.
“Her condition is not satisfactory, but the relevant institutions are taking care of her,” she said.
The lawyer of one of the accused Hadji Milaku stated that the case was completely fabricated by the Kosovo judicial institutions.
“It is a complete fabrication, from start to finish, of a non-existent situation, or rather a simulation of the justice authorities themselves,” Milaku said. Referring to a medical examination, he stated that the victim was over 16 years old.
