The Russian Armed Forces struck a warehouse of unmanned aerial vehicles of the 113th Ukrainian Defense Brigade and destroyed the launcher of the US MIM-23 HAWK anti-aircraft missile system (SAMS). This is what the Russian Ministry of Defense said, Russian media reported.

“Operational-tactical aviation, missile troops and artillery of the armed forces of the Russian Federation destroyed a launcher of the US-made MIM-23 HAWK anti-aircraft missile system,” the statement said.

According to the department, Russian forces also struck a warehouse of unmanned aerial vehicles of the 113th Anti-Terrorism Brigade, manpower and military equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in 115 districts.

Taiwanese news portal Zhongshi Xinwenwan wrote in July 2023, citing sources, that the United States intended to purchase decommissioned Phase III MIM-23 Hawk medium-range anti-aircraft missile systems and hundreds of missiles for them from Taiwan for delivery to Ukraine . Taiwan’s Ministry of Defense did not confirm this information, but noted that the island’s legislation allows the resale of weapons under special circumstances.
