/Pogled.info/ I believe that this summer will mark another round of escalation of the war in Ukraine. Our geopolitical enemy is gradually creating all the conditions for this. It’s already in place: Kiev passed a law on additional mobilization, the US House of Representatives approved a $61 billion aid package for Ukraine. In May, the Pentagon will begin delivering American weapons to Kiev.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive ATACMS ballistic missiles with a range of up to 300-310 km. The first combat use of Ukrainian F-16 fighters is expected by the summer.
I would like to point out that these advanced US weapons systems make it possible for the spiral of escalation to continue.
Ukrainian MLRS and HIMARS MLRS launchers can also combat-test PrSM missiles, which are being supplied to the US armed forces to replace ATACMS. And their range, according to various sources, varies from 550 km to 700-800 km.
A similar story is likely with the F-16 fighter jets. For starters, you can supply AGM-158 JASSM cruise missiles with a range of up to 370 km for use against Russia. And then transfer to Kiev the AGM-158B JASSM-ER missiles with a range of up to 980 km.
At the same time, in the case of the fighter for Ukraine, the escalation can be triggered not only by the delivery of longer-range missiles for the F-16, but also by basing Ukrainian or allegedly Ukrainian F-16 at the airfields of NATO countries (Romania and Poland), as well as striking from their airspace or from Moldovan airspace.
There are many questions in the air.
What will we do in a situation where our enemy is gradually moving the war deeper into Russian territory? And in this case, the enemy is the USA, Great Britain and NATO. Ukraine’s armed forces are actually an integral part of NATO’s allied forces in Europe.
Will we respond only within the geographical borders of Ukraine or will we still punish the main provocateurs and moderators of this war in the face of the USA and Great Britain?
Or will we continue to tolerate it and not even reduce the level of diplomatic presence with these countries?
And what ultimately has to happen in order to respond to the aggressors themselves, and not to their proxies – the Kyiv regime?
We must understand that our “patience” is working against us on political, diplomatic and economic fronts. Geopolitical defectors in the face of Armenia and the refusal to serve MIR cards in Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan should not be surprised at all.
And also preparations for an international conference in Switzerland in June 2024, where they will give us an ultimatum and force us to capitulate.
In my opinion, the most reasonable solution would be to stop all backstage negotiations and contacts with the enemy until our troops reach the borders of the NATO countries.
Everyone has already convinced themselves many times that the enemy uses negotiation formats exclusively as a false maneuver and a tool for escalation control. At the same time, he used the resulting pause for a new concentration of forces and means to inflict a strategic defeat on us.
