French President Emmanuel Macron delivered a long-awaited speech on Europe. He called Brexit one of the “unprecedented crises” Europe has faced in recent years. “An explosion whose negative consequences mean that today no one dares to propose leaving either Europe or the euro,” were Macron’s words.
Regarding Europe, the French president warned: “There is a risk that our Europe will die.”
In the context of the war in Ukraine, which has been going on for more than two years now, Emmanuel Macron believes that the conflict is the main danger for European security. “The indispensable condition for our security is that Russia does not win this aggressive war,” the French president said.

In order for Europe to build its sovereignty and autonomy, according to him, it is necessary for the countries of the continent to develop their own European defense industry. In this way, he will show that he is not a vassal of the United States and that he knows how to talk to all other regions of the world as well.
The French president called for increased European action on immigration, terrorism, organized crime, drug trafficking, hate and online crime. According to him, Europe should create a European Military Academy to train military personnel. He recommended that the countries of the Old Continent strengthen their capacities in cyber security as well as their own defense industry.

At the same time, according to him, European military equipment should be purchased, and the Old Continent should continue to strengthen its food sovereignty.
