In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, she says that she is more comfortable being addressed by her real name.
Would she make a remark to a fan who called her “Emily”?
“No, on the contrary, that would be so nice!” says the Desperate Creatures star.
“Often the people I shoot with call me Emily because they know I prefer it,” she says.
The actress decided to be “Emma Stone” because her name “Emily Stone” was already taken by another actress who was a member of the Screen Actors Guild of America.
“I just got fed up a few years ago and asked, ‘Call me Emily. Or just Em,'” she says.
The actress reveals that when she was little it was the exact opposite – she preferred to be called Emma because she was very blonde and wanted to look like blonde Emma Bunton from the Spice Girls.
“I’ve been to their concert twice, but I’ll go again if they tour together again!” says the star, who never stops being a fan of the British pop group, ladyzone.bg reports.
