Charles III will return to the public next week and resume some of his engagements, Buckingham Palace announced.
From there they add that there is an improvement in his condition after his treatment. The King of Great Britain announced that he had been diagnosed with cancer in January.
The British king’s return comes on the eve of the first anniversary of his ascension to the throne.
The public program will begin on Tuesday with a visit to a cancer treatment center where Charles and Camilla will talk to patients and doctors. The king will also receive the emperor of Japan and his wife on a state visit in June, added Buckingham.
Despite the announced plans, Charles III will not return 100% and some of his public engagements will continue to be carried out by Crown Prince William and other members of the royal family, notes the BBC.
“As we approach the first anniversary of the Coronation, Their Majesties remain deeply grateful for the many courtesies and well wishes they have received from around the world during the joys and challenges of the past year,” the palace’s official statement read.
