With “Hooray!” they threw the Ukrainian flag over the balcony of the Metropolitan Municipality

A candidate for national representative removed the Ukrainian flag from the building of the Metropolitan Municipality yesterday. He threw the flag from the balcony of the building to the accompaniment of a shout of “Hurrah!”, declaring: “Out fascist Ukrainians from Bulgaria.”

The MP candidate then moves the flag, which he describes as a “rag”, from the street to a pot on the sidewalk.

“We took down the fascist flag, which doesn’t belong above. He didn’t belong upstairs for a long time. Death to fascism, we will not legitimize the fascists and the Holocaust,” he commented on his action.

The leader of PP MIR Simeon Slavchev boasted about what the candidate for national representative did last night on “Facebook”, which is participating in the race for the upcoming early elections on April 2. Performer of the action, which is not very likely to have been carried out by chance right during the election campaign, is MP candidate Atanas Stefanov. A video of his performance was released by the party, which in the October 2, 2022 parliamentary elections was supported by 4,536 people, or 0.18% of voters.

We remind you that on October 12 last year supporters of “Vazrazhdane” demanded the removal of the flag of Ukraine from the facade of the Sofia Municipality, after a few months earlier party supporters succeeded in removing it by renting a loft, but then it was placed back on the balcony of the building. On October 13 it became clear that the flag was taken down by the deputy chairman of the Metropolitan Municipal Council, Borislav Ivanov, costing him his job. From “Vazrazhdane” they separated themselves from Ivanov, who announced that he was replacing “Ataka” with the party of Kostadin Kostadinov.
