From April 19 to 21, the second edition of Ludogorie Hack – a team programming competition – was reported by Digital Society-Razgrad.

Thirteen teams participated in it, the youngest participants were 16 years old, and the oldest were over 40 years old. Each team tried their best both in the technical part and in the presentation of their project. The competition started on Friday evening when the participants were given the task of the project they had to prepare. The condition of the assignment was to create a platform for making business contacts commissioned by one of the partners of the event – ​​Varnapreneurs.

The teams worked in parallel at the House of Technology in Targovishte and at PPMG “Acad. Nikola Obreshkov”, Razgrad, and there were also participants from Varna and Ruse. On Sunday, the teams presented what they created to a jury of 5 people:

  • Galin Stefanov, founder of https://varnapreneurs.com and member of the Bulgarian Angels Club.
  • Vladislav Katrankiev, programmer with over 6 years of professional experience and head of a team of programmers.
  • Taner Ahmedov, programmer with over 10 years of professional experience. Originally from Targovishte and in 2021 he returned to live in the city.
  • Marijan Iliev, a native of Targovishte, who has 8 years of experience as a programmer and is the co-founder of the technology company Generic Soft.
  • Daniel Goshev, programmer and team leader at HackSoft. He has over 7 years of experience in software development and also experience as a conference speaker.

The winning Gin & Tonic team consists of Belis Aliosmanova and Stefan Petrov, who are students in the 11th grade of the First Secondary School “St. Sedmochiselnitsi”, city of Targovishte. The second place went to Digital Pioneers – Dimitar Nikolov and Stiliyan Iliev, 12th grade students at “Shandor Petyofi” NPTG, city of Razgrad. In third place, the jury ranked the Java Rangers team, consisting of Gökhan Behcet, Ivaylo Yordanov and Redzeb Redzebov, who graduated from school and do programming in their spare time.

The sponsors of the event were the two software companies: Generic Soft, which is based in Sofia, and Ludogorie Soft, which was established 2 years ago and already has a team of several people from the region working on projects for foreign clients.

The organizers of the event were the organizations Digital Society Targovishte and Digital Society Razgrad, which conduct programming courses.
