--

In the “Ilia Beshkov” Art Gallery in Pleven, an exhibition of children’s works dedicated to the bright Christian holiday Easter was opened. Drawings, cards, souvenirs and decorations greet visitors in the gallery lobby. All of them were made especially for the competition organized by the Municipality of Pleven under the title “Easter through my eyes”.
There are three categories for participation in the creative competition according to the age of the children – “Drawing” (grades 8 – 12), “Easter Card” (grades 5 – 7) and “Easter Decoration” (kindergartens and elementary stage 1 – 4 grades), Elina Dimitrova, the deputy mayor in charge of Projects and Humanitarian Activities, told BTA. We are glad that so much work has been put in by students, their teachers and parents. Our goal is to create a mood for the people of Pleven for the upcoming holidays, she added.
Awards will be given for first, second and third place in each of the three categories. A Special Award will also be awarded to the Mayor of Pleven Municipality.
The awarding ceremony of the participants in the different areas of the competition will take place on April 30, and the exhibition can be viewed until May 7.
