Vratsa region is in the top 3 in terms of salaries in the country, according to the data for the last quarter of 2023 of the National Statistical Institute.
From October to December the average gross salary in the city under Okolchitsa and the district was BGN 1,965, which ranks the region in third place in Bulgaria.
They receive the most money in the capital – BGN 2,900, and in Varna the remuneration was BGN more than in Vrachan – BGN 1,966.
The remaining two regional centers in the North-West are at the bottom in terms of income.
Vidin had the lowest salary in the country for the fourth quarter of 2023, with people receiving BGN 1,397 each. The data for Montana are a little better – 1,531 BGN, but they are far from the standard that exists in most hometowns.
Financiers claim that the high incomes in the Vratsa region are due to the people employed at the Kozloduy NPP and the enterprises involved in the production of electricity around the nuclear power plant.
