The municipal councilor Daniela Petrova suggested to her colleagues in the regulatory body to make a decision on the development of a mobile application, with which tourists visiting Kardzhali can better navigate the sites. Most of her colleagues, however, did not accept her idea.
“Kardzhali has all the prerequisites to start selling its tourist product. The development and implementation of the mobile application, which is aimed at easier orientation of tourists visiting Kardzhali, is a means of developing incoming tourism. With the implementation of this innovative product, every guest of the municipality of Kardzhali will have easy and modern access to the lifestyle, culture and beauty of our region, receiving the necessary information at any time and in any place. The software product will showcase our tourist and natural attractions, accommodation, dining and entertainment, upcoming events, sports, entertainment, services and much more. It will enable payments. All tourist and architectural landmarks will be entered into a database. For each object there will be exact coordinates, photo, information, working hours, contacts. The mobile application will have tourist information maps on which all tourist (architectural, ethnographic and natural) attractions and routes in the municipality will be marked. Information-visual elements will be created – stickers with a QR code for each site and tourist maps. The mobile application will be available on the App Store and Google Play for free access.
The creation of a mobile application with quality and attractive photo, text and graphic material will open Kardzhali to the world and start promoting our tourist product, tourist routes and sites in the Municipality of Kardzhali, as well as tourist routes between the Municipality of Kardzhali and other municipalities in the Kardzhali region “, Daniela Petrova motivated her proposal.
