The management of the ODVMR met with the public in General Toshevo | Dobrich Regional Television

On the initiative of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Dobrich, a working meeting was held in the town of General Toshevo with nearly 80 people – mayors and deputy mayors of villages, directors of educational, social and other institutions, secretaries of community centers. The event was attended by the mayor of General Toshevo Municipality Valentin Dimitrov, the director of the ODMV Senior Commissioner Krasen Torimatsov, the head of the RU “Police” in the city, chief inspector Krasimir Manolov and chief inspector Plamen Todorov from the “Security Police” sector at the ODMV in Dobrich.

Highlights of the meeting were the state and dynamics of the operational situation on the territory of the municipality, the specifics of local crime, road safety and security. Serious attention was once again devoted to the prevention against the so-called “hello fraudsters”, where the mayors of small settlements themselves must play a big role. The local district administration announced that in recent months, nearly 600 leaflets have been distributed, which reveal the dangers of telephone scams and ways to protect against them. This has happened during several other similar explanatory meetings and information campaigns. The risks of driving electric scooters, scooters and tricycles by children, young people and the elderly with wire solutions were also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, the participants pledged to make common efforts to reduce the risk of crime. The working session ended with the hope for good cooperation between all parties for the benefit of the residents of the municipality.
