11 teams took part in the Regional Competition for Disaster and Accident Protection : Vestnik Zname

PAZARDJIK. As we wrote, on 25.04.2024, the regional stage of the XX Regional Student Competition “Protection in the event of disasters, fires and emergency situations” was held in the “Rosarium” of the “Islands” park. The competition was opened by chief inspector Boris Stoinov – head of RSPBZN-Pazardzhik.

11 teams, representatives of the municipalities and ranked from the held municipal stage of the competition, took part. The students demonstrated enviable knowledge and skills in disaster, fire and emergency response and first aid.

The competition includes a theoretical and practical part with learning centers: “Protection in the event of disasters – Actions of students in an earthquake and Actions of students in a flood”, “Protection in the event of industrial accidents, radioactive pollution, chemical pollution and in the presence of biological agents – Behavior and actions in pollution with ammonia, chlorine, carbon dioxide and mercury, Sealing of doors, windows and vents, Protection of food products from radioactive contamination, Cotton-gauze dressing, children’s and civil gas mask, “Fire safety – devices for initial fire extinguishing and method of action with them, liquidation of a fire with a fire pump” and first medical aid.

The team of the “St. Patriarch Euthymius” city of Peshtera with 279.5 points. The team was prepared by Mrs. Elena Vancheva – teacher at the school. The second place was won by the team of “Otets Paisiy” Elementary School, Batak, with 257.5 points, and the team of “Metodi Draginov” Secondary School, Draginovo municipality, took third place. Velingrad with 256.5 points. The regional governor Mrs. Valentina Kaitazova, together with chief inspector Boris Stoinov, awarded the winners.

The team of Innovative Primary School “Saint Patriarch Euthymius” in Peshtera will represent the Pazardzhik Region at the XX National Student Competition “Protection in Disasters, Fires and Emergency Situations” in June 2024.
