The regional information center – Dobrich held a meeting in Kranevo with local employers, representatives of the tourism sector and business. Eng. Genoveva Drumeva, manager of the center, presented the activities and services of the center, as well as the possibilities for financing with European funds.

Until May 15, 2024, the acceptance of project proposals under procedure BG16RFPR001-1.001 – “Development of innovations in enterprises” continues, with funding ranging from 50,000 to 500,000, depending on the category of the enterprise. Projects for the development of product innovation or business process innovation aimed at the production of goods and the provision of services will be supported. According to the upcoming procedure “Support for family businesses, businesses from the creative industries and crafts”, eligible candidates are micro or small businesses registered no later than 31.12.2020. The grant will be from BGN 25,000 to BGN 150,000. for the purchase of new machines, facilities, equipment, the creation of an online store, etc.

Employers were interested in the procedures under the “Human Resources Development” Program 2021-2027. With the provided funds, they will have the opportunity to increase the knowledge and skills of their workers and employees under the upcoming “New Skills” procedure. Through the “Youth Employment+” and “Starting a Job – Component 3” projects of the Employment Agency, employers can provide employment and training to young people aged 16 to 29 inclusive, and subsidized employment for unemployed and inactive persons, incl. disadvantaged and with permanent disabilities. Attendees also expressed interest in the upcoming “Youth Initiative ALMA” procedure, which will provide opportunities to young people from vulnerable groups for an internship in another EU member state for a period of 2 to 6 months and applying what they have learned abroad at a workplace in Bulgaria.

The upcoming measure 6.4 was presented. “Investment support for non-agricultural activities” of the Local Initiative Group “Balchik-General Toshevo”, with eligible applicants being farmers, micro-enterprises and artisans from the two municipalities. Grant funding can be invested in the production or sale of non-agricultural products, development of services in all sectors, development of crafts, construction and renovation of tourist sites with up to 20 accommodations, etc. The financial parameters are yet to be specified.

The attention of the attendees was drawn to the fact that for the first time the business is an eligible partner for projects under the Integrated Territorial Strategy under Priority 4 “Integrated Region” under INTERREG VI-A Romania-Bulgaria 2021 – 2027 in partnership with a Romanian organization.

The Information System for the Management and Monitoring of EU Funds in Bulgaria 2020 /ISUN 2020/ was also explained. The advantages of the application and reporting system were shown. From 2015 to now, ISUN 2020 already has 220,000 users and nearly 50,000 trees have been saved through electronic application, evaluation and reporting.

At the end of the meeting, everyone discussed the presented procedures and the Strategy of MIG Balchik-General Toshevo.
