The regional governor Valentina Kaitazova awarded the winners of the 20th competition “Protection in the event of disasters, fires and emergency situations”.
For the 20th time in a row, today in Pazardzhik, the District Student Competition “Protection in the event of disasters, fires and emergency situations” was held. The winners of the contested competition were the students from the Saint Patriarch Euthymius Primary School, Peshtera. The children collected a total of 279 points from the theoretical and practical rounds of the competition.
The second prize place was won by the team of “Otets Paisiy” Elementary School, Batak, who achieved a total of 257 points. In third place with a total of 237 points was the team of SU “Methodi Draginov” Draginovo village, Velingrad municipality. The winners received cups, medals and object prizes from the regional governor Valentina Kaitazova.
“I thank all the institutions for the organization of this competition. I congratulate the participants and their managers for the results achieved, for the acquired knowledge and skills for dealing with emergency situations. Despite the progress of science in various directions, we are dependent on nature and not everything is in the possibilities of the person, but the preliminary preparation is the responsibility of all of us, so that we can minimize the damage in the event of crisis situations with joint efforts,” said the regional governor.
All participants received badges and certificates from the head of RSPBZN Pazardzhik, Chief Inspector Boris Stoinov.
In the course of the competition, which took place in Ostrova Park, students demonstrated skills and reactions to action in designated centers for earthquakes, industrial accidents, personal protective equipment, providing first aid to medical aid to victims of disasters, floods and firefighting . 11 teams participated – students from the 6th and 7th grades, winners of the municipal competitions.
The initiative is part of the national calendar for extracurricular activities of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The organizer of the event is RD PBZN, together with RUO Pazardzhik and the Regional Council of BCHK. The prize fund is provided by the Regional Administration and RDPBZN Pazardzhik. The winning team will represent the Pazardzhik region at the National Competition in May.
