Three kindergartens in Plovdiv have already been energetically renovated. These are Edelweiss and Desislava in the Trakia region and Svetlina in the Yuzhen region.
The opening ceremony in the youngest Plovdiv district was attended by the mayor of Plovdiv Kostadin Dimitrov, the mayor of the Trakia district Georgi Gatev, his deputy Krasimir Terziev and the chief engineer of the Municipality of Plovdiv Hak Sakabov.
“For us, the children of Plovdiv are the most important, that’s why we make efforts to make the kindergartens more and more beautiful and comfortable for them. I am happy to see these objects finished, brighter, warmer and with reduced energy consumption.
Together with the district administration, we went through many hardships, including structural problems. We have been through all this and I am glad that our children learn and play in wonderful conditions, and the kindergarten directors can use the savings from the budget to upgrade their care. I think this is the right way”, emphasized the mayor of Plovdiv and thanked the contractor company and the regional administration for the work and efforts put into the implementation of the project.
As a sign of gratitude for the support, the director of DG “Edelweiss” Nadia Zagorska presented statuettes – edelweiss to the mayor Kostadin Dimitrov, the mayor of “Trakia” Georgi Gatev and the chief engineer Hak Sakabov, and the director of DG “Desislava” Zhana Petrova emphasized, that with the realization of the project, a long-standing dream has become a reality.
The children from the renovated kindergartens greeted the guests with a specially prepared program.
The three children’s facilities were energetically renovated under a project for the introduction of energy efficiency measures and the construction of photovoltaic plants under the “Renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy security” program of the Ministry of Energy, worth BGN 2,799,000.
Of these, the grant is 2,306,000, of which BGN 452,000 is own funding, and BGN 1,113,159 is additional funding for construction and assembly works from the Municipality of Plovdiv and the Ministry of Energy.
The project is implemented within 24 months – from April 29, 2022 to April 30, 2024. The implementation of energy efficiency measures is carried out with the financial assistance of the European Economic Area 2014-2021.
