A long-standing serious problem with parking in the area of medical institutions in Blagoevgrad is about to be solved. The municipal councilors agreed to establish a remunerative indefinite right of construction for the construction of a parking lot and a medical center with an emergency department at the private hospital on the proposal of the mayor Metodi Baikushev. For years, the parking lot in front of the private hospital, where cars for the Emergency Center and SPO also stop, has been congested, it is difficult to find a space, and the terrain is littered with potholes.
The future parking lot will consist of two independent sites, on two consecutive underground levels, with a total of 98 parking spaces, and one surface level with 36 parking spaces.
With the construction of the facility, a long-standing problem with the parking of vehicles by citizens visiting hospitals in the area will be resolved.
It is planned to improve the infrastructure, which will allow easier movement of specialized vehicles to the Emergency Department of the hospital. The area will be modernized, the quality and scope of medical care in the Blagoevgrad region will increase.
After the construction of the building, which will be at the expense of the medical facility, the Municipality of Blagoevgrad will acquire the right of ownership of an underground parking lot with about 50 parking spaces.
The property is currently not in good condition. There is no asphalt on the site, which is a serious prerequisite for polluting, there are many unevennesses, creating a danger to the health and property of citizens.
