The executive director of MBAL-Pazardzhik, Dr. Krasimir Temnilov, received an award for achieved results, good social dialogue and healthy and safe working conditions, the press center of the medical institution announced. KNSB and representatives of the social partners paid tribute to the workers who died in occupational accidents.
This year on 28 April – International Day of Remembrance for Workers Killed and Injured by Accidents at Work and Occupational Diseases, as well as World Day for Safe and Healthy Work – the global trade union community is drawing attention to the need for action to address climate risks for workers.
The annual “Promethea” awards were also handed out today, with which the KNSB traditionally honors employers who have achieved good results in ensuring healthy and safe working conditions. The only awarded medical institution is MBAL-Pazardzhik.
The statuette “Promethea” and a certificate for contribution to the humanization of the working environment and the protection of people’s health were received by the executive director of the medical facility, Dr. Krasimir Temnilov, and the head nurse, Elena Stancheva, who is the chairperson of the trade union organization of the KNSB in the hospital. The award was presented to them at an official ceremony in the capital by the vice president of the union Ognyan Atanasov.
The Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions in Health Care at KNSB, Dr. Ivan Kokalov noted that the award is not only deserved. It is also a recognition of the fact that, in this psychoclimate, MBAL-Pazardzhik is, in the best sense of the word, doomed to success.
