Dimitrov recalled that until the end of 2023, the implementation of the activities was carried out with money from the program, and from the beginning of 2024, the financing was from the municipality’s budget.
“We are doing everything possible to finish the project on time. Two days ago I was at the Ministry of Culture, we talked with the Deputy Minister Amelia Gesheva, representatives of the Inspectorate, Prof. Petar Petrov from the National Institute of Culture and Science. The most important thing to know is, that we should not allow financial losses for the municipality of Plovdiv” – said Dimitrov.
The mayor also announced that the NINCN has several documents that at different stages show different opinions about the fence. Now we are waiting for them to officially say in which direction to act.
Asked what his personal opinion is – to have or not to have a fence, Dimitrov said that he met people on Nebet Tepe itself, who told him that there is no way to protect the object from vandalism without a fence.
“We have excellent relations with the Ministry of Culture. The most important thing is that there is no loss of funds,” repeated Dimitrov.
