Within the days of speech and spirit “Southern Spring”, the Municipality of Haskovo awards an extremely prestigious award for an invaluable contribution in the field of literature, art and the development of culture. This is the “Alexander Pascalev” award.

In 2024, the laureate of the “Alexander Pascalev” award is the artist Vladimir Zapryanov. The Mayor of Haskovo Municipality Stanislav Dechev awarded Vlado Zapryanov and congratulated him for his dedicated work for the development of culture in Haskovo. The mayor thanked Zapryanov for his willingness to get involved in new valuable projects to be implemented in Haskovo.

“The artist sometimes gets fired up by the word. Everything I have done has been in the name of what is happening for culture in Haskovo – in the past for the “Credo” gallery and later the “Forum” gallery initiative. The happening in the culture is very important as it gives impetus to the true dimension of the spirit because it is there. Long live the spirit of Southern Spring! Long live Haskovo”, said the famous artist after the presentation of the Pegasus “Alexander Pascalev”.

Four more Pegasus awards were handed out in separate genres.
