The Botev 2000 Water Polo Club and the three swimming clubs, in which children also train, will participate in the celebration, the president of the Rotary Club-Vratsa for this Rotary year, Marin Georgiev, told BTA.
There are two exhibition games coming up tonight – the first is the women’s, followed by the U15 men’s game. Tomorrow’s day is set aside for the butterfly, breaststroke, backstroke, freestyle and relay events in the 25m pool.
According to Georgiev, the Rotary Club-Vratsa has provided individual prizes for all participants, and there will also be medals for the first three places in the swimming starts.
This is the second initiative that the Vratsa club is conducting in the regional center. For the National Day, the Alley of Donors was opened in the center of Vratsa, built with their help.
“Furthermore, this year we also completed a dental prevention project. Preventive examinations were performed on 250 children from 1st to 4th grade. The funds for it were also provided by the Rotary Club-Vratsa, we were also supported by our district Rotary-Bulgaria,” explained Marin Georgiev.
