A driver from Burgas refused to be tested for drugs

Reports of raids and thefts after the disaster on the Southern Black Sea coast. As people there continue to battle the damage, looters are on the lookout for items and cars swept away by the water. There are already police teams patrolling the areas around Lozenets and Arapya campsite.

“Looters are taking advantage of the misery of people with flooded caravans. They take white and black equipment. We had a lot of reports, but we still haven’t identified anyone as the perpetrator”, explained the manager of the campsite, Rumen Radev.

The police commented that there are currently two theft reports. One is from “Butamyata” beach on Sinemorets – for raising an inflatable boat and three vests. Yesterday, a farmer’s pump was stolen.

“Criminal Police” is working to identify the perpetrators of the thefts. We have not received reports of stolen white and black appliances. As a precaution, there are teams of the Gendarmerie and the police on the territory of the campsites”, pointed out the head of the “Security Police” – Tsarevo, Petar Yanchev.

Throughout the day, patrols are carried out on “Arapya”, “Oasis”, “Nestinarka” and in Lozenets. “People should not worry and contact the law enforcement authorities. We will do whatever it takes to document this type of crime,” emphasized Yanchev and added that the uniformed officers will remain in place until the situation normalizes.
