Criminalists from the ODMVR-Razgrad discovered a facility for growing plants of the hemp type – reports the press center of the ODMVR-Razgrad.

The operation to counter crimes related to narcotic substances was carried out on the territory of RU-Isperih. In the course of initiated pre-trial proceedings, a search was carried out in a private property used and inhabited by a 32-year-old man. In addition to the facility equipped with lighting, heating and ventilation systems, 916 grams of cannabis, 6.5 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, 35 grams of hemp plant seeds and 1 liter of plant mass solution that tested positive for cannabis were found and seized. The dealer was detained in RU-Isperih. A supervising prosecutor has been notified of the case. An investigation is being conducted into a crime committed under Art. 354 A of the Criminal Code.

In the course of the specialized police operation, two cases of drug possession were established. In Isperih, a 19-year-old was caught with 0.74 grams of cannabis. A search was carried out in the residence of his dealer – a 26-year-old criminal and convicted of drug distribution. Pre-trial proceedings under Art. 354 A, paragraph 3, item 1 of the Criminal Code. Around 8:20 p.m. on April 25 in the village of Belovets, during an inspection of a BMW E46 car, it was found that the 15-year-old passenger in the front seat was hiding a rolled-up foil with a crystalline substance in his sneaker. The substance tested positive for amphetamine. A pre-trial proceeding was established under Art. 354 A, para. 3, item 1 in connection with art. 63, para. 1 of the Criminal Code.

Unregulated trade in “branded” goods was uncovered in the course of the police operation. In the course of the procedural and investigative actions taken by the police, a search was carried out in a commercial establishment in the town of Isperih, owned by a company from Shumen. Trademarked goods offered without the exclusive right holder’s consent were found. 110 sports shoes bearing the trademarks NIKE, PHILIPP PLEIN, AIR, POLO and others were seized. According to the inventory of RU-Isperih, pre-trial proceedings were initiated under Art. 172b, para. 1 of the Criminal Code. In a shop for industrial goods in the city of Zavet, 91 pieces of the following items were confiscated: hats with a visor, men’s shorts, women’s leggings, sports jerseys from the brands NIKE, ADIDAS and others with a total value of about BGN 7,500. The prosecutor on duty was notified. A pre-trial proceeding was instituted for a crime committed under Art. 172b, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

In the course of the police operation, a Renault Twingo car driven by a 40-year-old man was stopped on Perister Street in Razgrad. During the inspection, it was found that he was holding a dry grassy mass in a man’s leather bag, which tested positive for cannabis, as well as three more scrolls with a white crystalline substance, which tested positive for methamphetamine. A polyethylene bag with 2 pcs. brown pellets weighing a total of 2.20 grams which tested positive for cannabis, and a dry grassy mass weighing 2.30 grams which also tested positive for cannabis. The man was detained for a period of 24 hours in the building of RU-Razgrad.

272 vehicles and over 300 persons were checked at the constructed checkpoints. 103 acts and slips were drawn up. Mobile teams carried out inspections in gambling halls, casinos, car morgues, pawnshops, drinking establishments, parks and gatherings of persons from the active criminal contingent. 2 pawnshops and 23 congregations were checked. In the course of the operation to combat domestic crime, 12 pre-trial proceedings were instituted. Two persons were detained, and 16 were arrested by the active criminal contingent.
