SMARTPHONE VERSION >>> Citizens with high artistic and creative achievements in the spiritual life and the field of education and science in the municipality of Stara Zagora are honored with the award.

The Municipal Administration has received 19 proposals for awarding the “Stara Zagora” award for 2024. The awards are given in two directions – “Science and Education” and “Culture and Art”.

For an individual award in the “Science and Education” direction, there are a total of thirteen contenders for the award:

1. Stoyanka Gencheva Dilova – senior teacher of History and Civilizations at Maxim Gorky University. Nominated by the Pedagogical Council of SU “Maxim Gorky”.

2. Yordanka Kirilova Radenkova – senior teacher of Bulgarian language and literature at Maxim Gorky University. Nominated by the Pedagogical Council of SU “Maxim Gorky”.

3. Stanislav Krastev Georgiev – senior teacher of Philosophy at Maxim Gorky University. Nominated by the Pedagogical Council of SU “Maxim Gorky”.

4. Dinko Boychinov Tsviatkov – director of “Ivan Vazov” Secondary School, Stara Zagora. Nominated by the editorial board of electronic newspaper Dolap.bg www.dolap.bg

5. Darina Yurieva Delcheva – senior teacher in the primary stage at “Kyril Hristov” Elementary School. Nominated by Mr. Balkchiev, director of Kiril Hristov Elementary School.

6. Dimitrinka Stoyanova Petkova – pedagogic advisor at PPMG “Geo Milev”. Nominated by the Pedagogical Council of PPMG “Geo Milev”.

7. Mima Peneva Petrova – head teacher of French at Romain Rolland Secondary School. Nominated by the Pedagogical Council of the “Romain Rolland” PGCE.

8. Zhana Mincheva – director of Dimitar Blagoev National University. Nominated by the Pedagogical staff of Dimitar Blagoev National University.

9. Valentina Atanasova Hristova – senior teacher in the primary stage at “Georgi Raychev” Elementary School. Nominated by the Pedagogical Council of “Georgi Raychev” Elementary School.

10. Nikolay Shirov – director of “Georgi Raychev” Elementary School. Nominated by the teaching staff of Georgi Raychev Elementary School.

11. Vladimir Stefanov Iliev – senior high school teacher at “Knyaz Simeon Turnovski” TG. Nominated by Methodological Association “Informatics” of TG “Knyaz Simeon Turnovski”.

12. Prof. Dr. Yulian Ananiev, MD – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of Thrace University. Nominated by the academic community of Thrace University and Prof. Dr. Dobri Yarkov – Rector of Thrace University – Stara Zagora

13. Vanya Gospodinova Mihailova – head teacher in junior high school, teacher of Geography and Economics and History and Civilizations in the VI Elementary School “St. Nicholas”. Nominated by the Pedagogical Council and the management of VI “Saint Nicholas” Elementary School.

In the same category, the following are nominated for a collective award:

1. National School for Music and Performing Arts “Hristina Morfova” – nominated by an initiative committee with chairman Ognyan Draganov – opera director and director of the State Opera – Stara Zagora.

2. Team of DG No. 29 “Slaveiche” – nominated by Donka Mincheva – director of DG No. 29 “Slaveiche”, Stara Zagora.

3. Pedagogical team of “Dimitar Blagoev” NU – nominated by Zhana Mincheva – director of “Dimitar Blagoev” NU, Stara Zagora.

In the “Culture and Art” direction, one nomination was received for an individual award:

1. Anelia Dimitrova – prima ballerina of the State Opera – Stara Zagora. Nominated by Ognyan Draganov – director of the State Opera – Stara Zagora.

In the same direction, the following are proposed for a collective award:

1. State Puppet Theater – Stara Zagora for the realization of the play “The Secret of Lenchen” by Michael Ende. Nominated by Darin Petkov – director of the State Puppet Theater – Stara Zagora.

2. “Alegra” Children’s and Youth Performing Arts Studio for the musical “Time Travel – The Outlines”. Nominated by the Initiative Committee.

The awards are presented on the occasion of May 24 – Day of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture, and of Slavic literature.
