The heroes of Vratsa! 10 from “Botev” defeated “Pirin” in Blagoevgrad

“Pirin” /Blagoevgrad/ surprisingly allowed a turnaround and lost at home to “Botev” /Vratsa/ 1:2 in the first match of the playoffs in the efbet League for the two teams that are in the second six – the teams that are fighting for their survival.
Vracani were a man down in the 54th minute when Brian Mendoza was sent off, but managed to hold onto their lead.
After a calm first few minutes, the score of the match was opened with the first serious danger in front of one of the two goals. In the 8th minute, Ivan Tasev scored for 1:0, taking advantage of a terrible mistake by Messi Biatumusoka, who slipped at the most inopportune moment when the ball was returned to him by Martin Achkov.
The guests took the game into their opponent’s half and in the 17th they could equalize. Claire Serber broke from the left, entered the penalty area and crossed very sharply parallel to the goal line, but Kovalov was careful and managed to deflect the ball. Shortly after half an hour of play, Brian Medosa got on the right flank and crossed sharply into the penalty area, where Brian Perea tried a trick kick with his heel, but the ball went wide of the goal.
The better play of the visitors after the conceded goal paid off in the first minute of added time in the first half when Martin Achkov executed a perfect direct free kick from about 25 meters and leveled at 1:1 with a very beautiful goal.
Four minutes after the break, the visitors made a complete turnaround after Brian Perea crossed into the penalty area, where Boubacar Traore was unable to play and the unmarked Martin Smolenski scored to make it 1-2.
However, the joy of Vracani was overshadowed in the 54th minute when Brian Mendoza had to leave the field prematurely after receiving a straight red card. The visitors’ full-back made an illegal stop on Danilo Polonski, and due to the fact that he was last in defence, the head referee had no alternative before him but to show him the way to the changing rooms.
The home team attacked in search of an equalizing goal, but never found the right way to the opposition goal. In the added time of the match, Ivo Andreev blows a penalty for “Botev” /Vratsa/ for a foul on Abu against Daniel Genov. Brian Perea stood behind the ball, but then the head referee went to personally review the foul on the VAR monitor and canceled the penalty kick, and the result remained unchanged until the end.
After their success, the team led by Hristo Yanev has 25 points in the penultimate place, and the 14th Lokomotiv Sofia has 25. Pirin remains 12th with 30 points.
