The Higher Naval School “N.Y. Vaptsarov” and the Varna Court of Appeal have deepened their cooperation and will carry out more joint activities of mutual interest. The Head of the Naval School – Admiral of the Fleet Professor Boyan Mednikarov, PhD, and the President of the Court of Appeal – Varna – Dr. Vanukhi Arakelyan, signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two institutions. An essential emphasis of mutual interest is the training and development of highly qualified specialists in forensics and cyber security. The institutions will cooperate in conducting trainings and seminars in order to increase professional skills and competencies.

The partnership is conditioned by the development of digital services, virtual space and computer technologies, taking into account the new challenges they create in the lives of citizens. The cooperation between the Court of Appeal and the Maritime School is a natural extension of the already established collaboration between the two institutions. This is the project of the Youth Academy “Cosmos and Law” – joint between the Court and the Planetarium at VVMU. Through it, for two years, nearly 200 students from Varna schools received basic knowledge of space law and information about hazardous waste in Earth’s orbit, as well as for the development of space tourism.
