Levski defeated CSKA and became Bulgaria’s volleyball champion for the 15th time (PHOTOS)

In the first game, the “armies” led 7:2, but the graduates of Nikolay Zhelyazkov managed to return to the match at 7:9. They even equalized at 11:11. However, the team led by Alexander Popov took the lead in the match after 25:23. In the second part of the derby in the full “Levski Sofia” hall, the hosts built up a solid lead from the start and did not make any serious mistakes – 1:1.

The third game proved decisive for the final outcome of the clash and the series. “The Blues” pulled ahead with 13:10. CSKA restored parity at 16:16, before another strong series in attack for Levski and an undisputed 25:20. In the last part, the young team of the hosts again played at a high level and the events on the field were completely in their favor. The two-point lead held until the end, when it increased, and Maicon Moreira sealed the victory with a drive through the middle.

Kristian Titriyski was the top scorer for the winners with 18 points. His teammate Vladimir Garkov added another 17. Strahinya Burzakovic scored 24 points for the Reds. Earlier in the campaign, Zhelyazkov’s boys also won the country’s Super Cup.
