Burgas has become the musical capital of Europe
At that moment, a crowd not seen for years was dancing in front of the stage at Morska Gara, where the phenomenal rockers from Great Britain, Arctic Monkeys, were performing their first concert in Bulgaria. The band has not performed for several years and chose Burgas for its first show, not by chance, as the terrain is extremely suitable for such spectacular musical events.
Until yesterday, it was expected that the concert would be attended by just over 13 thousand music lovers, but on footage published a while ago by the mayor Dimitar Nikolov, who is also among the audience at Morska gara, it is obvious that the fans are much more. According to unofficial data, between 15-16 thousand people from all over the world are at the concert.
Burgas is bursting at the seams waiting for Arctic Monkeys
The last time in Burgas such a furor was caused by the Spirit of Burgas festival in 2015, when the big star was the bad boy of pop, Robbie Williams. Then, the much larger field on the Central Beach in Burgas accommodated 35,000 fans.
Such was the atmosphere during the third Spirit of Burgas in 2010, when Prodigy filled the city with tourists.
