He clarified that the measures for the upcoming match on Saturday, April 27 will be much stricter than those of the previous meeting a few weeks ago.
“The police presence will be noticeable both in the outskirts of Sofia and in the city center, but it will be concentrated around the Vasil Levski National Stadium,” said Georgiev.
According to him, the passing regime and the verification of spectators will be in several stages. There will be two laps around the sports facility. The first will have checkpoints, and the second – with employees of the two security companies hired by the organizer.
“The direct commitment to guard the football match is theirs. The work of the SDVR is to escort the buses of the two teams and provide assistance to the security companies,” explained Georgiev. And he added that there has been police surveillance at the stadium for several days in case the security company makes a mistake.
The buffer zones between the two campaigns will be much larger than those from the previous meeting between the two teams, added Georgiev.
The Inspector General explained that drones will also be used during the meeting to identify possible offenders, and they will be detained either immediately after the act or after the meeting.
