One of CSKA’s main players this season, Tobias Heinz, is very likely to remain on the bench in Saturday’s eternal derby, writes “Tema Sport”.
The Norwegian played as a “false nine” in the last round of the regular season against Arda and even scored in the 3-2 victory after a corner shuffle. However, for the clash with Levski, the starting center forward Fernando Karanga, who missed the team’s previous two matches due to injury, will be on the line. Thus, the Brazilian will displace Heinz from the top of the attack. Mathias Phaeton’s place on the left flank is not in question as he is the only typical winger in the squad.
The central midfield trio of forwards Lindseth, Carreaso and Juga will also not be touched. So the only option for Tobias to start is to replace Ullaus Skarshem on the right.
The winter signing of CSKA, however, played his strongest match with the red shirt so far precisely in Kardzhali, scoring the winning goal in the match. That is why it is more likely that the former Rosenborg player will start on Saturday. However, compatriot Heinz has the advantage of more derby experience and has already netted twice for Levski, including in the 2-0 success at the start of the month. This is also the trump card, which could still weigh on the selection of Stamen Belchev.
As we already wrote, he also has two serious dilemmas for the defense. The Reds boss is still undecided about the right-back and one central defender. Jurgen Mattei will certainly start from the first minute despite his very poor performance in Kardzhali, where he was responsible for both of Arda’s goals. However, Belchev has not yet decided who to bet on as his partner. He will choose between Hristiyan Petrov and Enes Mahmutovich. The former has been treating an injury until recently and has been training at full speed for only a few days. The second often makes gross mistakes and is a risky player.
If Belchev prefers Brian Cordoba to the right back, it will mean that Thibaut Vion will go to the left. There is an option for the Frenchman to stand in his typical position on the right and on the left to start Sanyang. However, this option is less likely.
