With a firm position in power, VMRO stopped the Istanbul Convention
Protecting children and the family, strengthening nation-states, and affirming Christian values and traditions are top priorities for conservative and patriotic parties in Europe, the United States, and around the world. This was the unifying message in the speeches on the second day of the conservative CPAC conference in Budapest (Hungary), in which from the Bulgarian side the chairman of the VMRO Krasimir Karakachanov and the organizing secretary of the party Alexander Sidi participated, the press center of the VMRO announced.
“Bulgaria has made a huge contribution in the fight against gender ideology and early sexual education, and this contribution is the suspension of the Istanbul Convention thanks to the strong position of the VMRO in power,” Karakachanov emphasized during his meetings with leading European and American conservatives.
Among them are Matt Schlap, chairman of the Conservative Forum CPAC and Jerzy Kwasniewski, chairman of the influential Polish organization “Ordo Juris”, with whom concrete opportunities for cooperation and interaction were identified.
