Yesterday, April 24, it became clear that the ex-boyfriend of William and Harry’s cousin Paolo Luizzo was found dead in a hotel room in Miami. The case is under investigation, but according to initial information, the cause of death is a drug overdose.
Princess Beatrice and the Italian’s relationship began when she was just 17 and he was 24. They love each other very much and her parents gave their approval for them to be together despite their big age difference. They even invite Luizzo with them on a skiing holiday in Switzerland. And so he becomes her first official boyfriend.
But age proves to be much less of a problem than the manslaughter conviction that Luizzo received before meeting the daughter of the Duke and Duchess of York. His sentence was reduced to 100 hours of community service, but for violating his probation with the family ski vacation, he was sent back to the US. Not much is known about when or how exactly the princess and her ex parted ways, but it is clear that Luizzo, who inherited a large fortune from his father, most recently worked as an arts consultant. People close to him claim that he was not feeling well mentally and had problems with both drugs and gambling.

At this point, Princess Beatrice has not commented on his death and is unlikely to do so publicly. But sources quoted by The Sun claimed she was left devastated by the tragic news.
