48 poor families move into new furnished homes in Haskovo

48 poor families will receive new fully furnished and equipped municipal housing in Haskovo. The apartments in 3 blocks next to the waterworks were built according to a project for the integration of marginal societies through the construction of social infrastructure. It is financed by the Operational Program “Regions in Growth” and is for BGN 2,072,687.82.

The apartments are intended for housing a certain target group, including vulnerable, minority and socially weak groups of the population and other disadvantaged groups on the territory of the municipality. Application for accommodation has already started.

People who are homeless or living in very poor living conditions, who have no usual place of residence, who use shelters or other temporary accommodation services for the night, parents with children, incl. minor parents, large families, children with poor health and those with disabilities, the poor. In addition to getting a home, the boarders will get a chance to improve their living standards, social inclusion, a new choice of life model and way of life, integration into the community, opportunity for training, job search, etc.

Today, the ribbon was cut on the new buildings, the construction of which began more than 10 years ago. I am satisfied that we were able to complete this project. I want to thank the construction company, because we encountered a lot of difficulties during the work, said the mayor Stanislav Dechev. I hope that with the construction of the new social infrastructure in this part of the city, we will set an example for a better way of life, he added.

The apartments of different sizes have an equipped and furnished dining room with a kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms.
