The Ministry of Innovation is helping Karlovo with BGN 2.69 million

The Ministry of Innovation and Growth is ready to transfer funds in the amount of up to BGN 2.69 million to finance elements of the technical infrastructure of the Municipality of Karlovo, which are public municipal property, including and reconstruction of “Industrialna” street in Karlovo.

The money is provided in accordance with the Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 407 of 23.06.2022, which approves the conclusion of two contracts – of the state with the Municipality of Karlovo for the financing of elements of the technical infrastructure – public municipal property, and of the state with the investor “DB Cargo Bulgaria” EOOD. The funds are paid as an incentive measure under the project “Diversification of the existing enterprise of “DB Cargo Bulgaria” EOOD” in Karlovo.


The company has an investment certificate A-181/10.04.2020 under the Investment Promotion Act. On August 18, 2022, the company provided MIR with data and documents for reaching the required minimum threshold for the investment.

According to the contracts of the state with the Municipality of Karlovo and the investor from July 2022, MIR must finance the targeted construction of the site until December 31, 2022.

The reconstruction of “Industrialna” street will lead to the facilitation of transport and economic connections, to the relief of heavy traffic and the improvement of transport services in the industrial area of ​​Karlovo. The newly built infrastructure will be owned by the municipality of Karlovo.

The documents for the financing of the project by MIR were signed today. The recipient of the amount will be the Municipality of Karlovo.
