Among those affected are the children’s ombudsman of the Russian Federation Maria Lvova-Belova, the president of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov and his relatives, the head of the interim administration of Zaporozhye Yevgeny Balitsky and the chairman of the movement “We are together with Russia” Vladimir Rogov, the assistant of the president of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin and others.

The US administration is strengthening sanctions against the military-industrial complex and the high-tech sector in Russia and tightening the export regime for the Russian Federation and Belarus.

The new sanctions are joint between the Treasury and Commerce ministries, as well as the State Department.

Under the Ministry of Finance, sanctions are being introduced against 23 individuals and one organization, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – against “the military and high-tech industries of the Russian Federation”.

The Commerce Department is expanding existing sanctions “on Russia and Belarus by introducing new export controls.”

“As Ukraine continues to fight for its freedom, today we are taking steps to further reduce Russia’s ability to rearm its military, hold perpetrators of violence accountable, and further isolate (Russian President Vladimir) financially.” Putin,” said US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, quoted by BTA.
