The US administration is strengthening sanctions against the military-industrial complex and the high-tech sector in Russia and tightening the export regime for the Russian Federation and Belarus.
The new sanctions are joint between the Treasury and Commerce ministries, as well as the State Department.
Under the Ministry of Finance, sanctions are being introduced against 23 individuals and one organization, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – against “the military and high-tech industries of the Russian Federation”.
The Commerce Department is expanding existing sanctions “on Russia and Belarus by introducing new export controls.”
