Six wounded, and ISW Americans called for culmination of PMC Wagner attacks
Six people were wounded in Konstantinovka after another enemy shelling by the Russian occupiers, reports the Ukrainian news agency UNiAN, citing the chairman of the Donetsk regional military administration Pavel Kirilenko.
“The Russians hit the town twice with cluster munitions. Six civilians were injured, including a foreign volunteer. At least 19 houses, a school and an enterprise were damaged to varying degrees,” he added.
Kirilenko emphasized that, despite its relative distance from the front line, Konstantinovka is constantly under enemy fire.
“The Russians are shooting at everything. They keep people in constant terror,” he added.
In the Donetsk region, during the past 24 hours, the Russian invaders killed one person and wounded 11 more. The Russians regularly shell the populated areas in the region. Therefore, the Ukrainian authorities appealed to the local residents to evacuate. To do this, they can use trains for free.
At the same time, the American Institute for the Study of War announced that Russian forces had made little progress in Bakhmut. According to ISW analysts, PMC Wagner’s offensive is likely to reach a climax soon. They believe that Russian forces are now making only marginal tactical gains in Bakhmut.
The Institute also quoted the representative of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Cherevatiy, who said that over the past 24 hours, the Russian military had attacked the Bakhmut region 42 times.
The training of Russian occupation troops continues at the training grounds of Belarus, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on their Facebook page.
During the day, the Russians shelled 4 settlements in Chernihiv region, 7 in Sumy region, as well as over 20 areas of settlements in Kharkiv region.
“In the direction of Kupyan and Liman, the enemy is trying to break through the defense of our troops. Unsuccessful offensive operations were conducted in the areas of the villages of Gryanikovka, Kremennaya, Kuzmino, Verkhnekamenskoe and Sporno,” the headquarters also said.
