The president of Pirin (Blagoevgrad)Stanislav Manolevshared his expectations for the upcoming match of the Eagles with Botev (Vratsa). In front of the Blagoevgrad club website, the former national team responded to the rumors about the impending change of the team’s coach Krasimir Petrov.

“It is normal for our supporters to be unhappy with the performance because we have only 3 points from 8 rounds. I dare say we deserved more, but various factors, many of them subjective, deprived us of them. In most of the games we showed a not bad game, there were also unsatisfactory performances, but let’s not forget that the team is in a transition period,” said the former defender.

“We are trying to build a young squad, which is never an easy task, especially when last season we had experienced players in key positions. We tried to bring in young players and thus ‘change the blood’. Some adapt well, some they need more time Rest assured we are working hard to assemble a capable team and we are sure we will succeed.

We strongly support head coach Krasimir Petrov and stand firmly behind him because we think he is the man who can lead and develop this Pirin team. Here is the moment to refute the information that we are looking for a new coach. We have a coach we trust. The same goes for his staff. I am turning to our fans, urging them to come to the stadium on Friday and support us against Botev (Vratsa). I believe that this time we will not disappoint them and step by step we will get out of the difficult situation. Together, fans and team, we will overcome difficulties, but for this we must be united,” he added.
