Hoteliers from the “Sunny Beach” resort will take general action because of the high prices in the medical centers and the private polyclinic in the complex. The hoteliers are planning to take out general health insurance for tourists and to open doctor’s offices for guests in the holiday bases.

6 large hotels in the southern part of the “Sunny Beach” resort are joining together in an initiative against poor health care and high prices for health services.

“What we decided with a few colleagues here is to unite and make a general insurance that will be health for our tourists and try a trial option to finance doctors who will be exclusively responsible only for our hotels, so that we can let’s stop this looting of those who allow themselves to turn people’s health into such a cruel business. It can’t be here that an examination of something quite ordinary costs you two or three times what it is in Germany, for example. These are citizens, after all, more of The EU and what is happening here is, to put it mildly, a crime,” said hotelier Rumen Monchev.

The new ambulance sent and the opened 24-hour point in “Sunny Beach” do not solve the problem with health care in the resort, Rumen Monchev also stated:

“For me, this point opens, it is more of a kind of PR. What does it mean that an ambulance is standing somewhere. In general, if something happens, there is nowhere to take the person”.
